I'M BACK!!! WITH A VENGENCE!! (yea rite..)
haha.. sch has started.. quite slack..
tutorials are yet to start.
Holidays over.. i'm here to update more about adventure raCE!!!

23rd July 2006
Starting point was at salvation army in bukit timah, where we spent the night before the race. Cos the race starts at 6.30 in the morning!!!
crazy la.. but anyway.. we "checked in" and then exploring the vincinty.
then we found RAILWAY MALL! which has a nice Cold Storage which turned Me, cher and haoting (20 yr olds) into kids.. A girls team joining under 18 cat were thinking.."hey i think WE are the ones under 18!!"
so ANYWAY..the race proper!!
So while it was dark and most of singapore was still sound asleep, we have already found ourselves deep in the jungle..down we go into a big drain, roots of trees and other creeper plants hang above our heads.. at some point, the drain was filled with water. up to our knees..so we all got down n dirty! not to mention wet..
finally we emerge from the drain! but missed the 2nd checkpoint, made a detour back..
then got to the biking segment!
Off we go to bukit batok nature park! searched for some clues and made our way back!
next segment is where one bikes and two run!
so when we reached the deeper parts of bukit timah hill, we scaled the mountain! via the muddy paths..reached a cliff..descended down..using some ropes that were in place already..
and then stumbled upon a shocking discovery..
WE WERE IN THE LEAD!!!
even though we had missed the 2nd checkpoint and were delayed by a bike problem..
haha amazing!! so in the end.. WE WON!!
prize presentation was in the evening at toa payoh sports hall..where there are band performances, muscle man performances and a cute little thai boy who is a future soccer star!! and we went home with a 40% off new balance voucher! and a t shirt!
i wanna join again next year.. haha..
okay kinda tired.. stay tuned for updates on NUS ODAC's RACE 4!!!!which i didn't manage to join but helped out..
