coping can have 2 forms
emotion focused coping n problem focused coping.
problem focused coping is used when one has control and the means to overcome the problem or situation at hand..
emotion focused coping.. when one can't do anything but endure..

so what happens if your brain tells you there's no problem (hence no need for coping)..
but you FEEL otherwise?
since there's no problem.. then one can only rely on emotion focused coping?
rarr.. gotta get this off my mind..

need to psycho myself..

the same thing has been revolving in my mind these few days.
tried putting myself into someone else's shoes. but its impossible to imagine how its like.
and.. me being me.. cannot simply ignore another's feelings..
and so... the curiousity grew and grew.. the question of "so what happened?" loomed at the back of my mind..


and then last nite..
idle chat on light hearted topics linked with deeper issues made me think about all these from a different perspective..
MY perspective..
it may sound self-centered..
but it is juz about protecting and cherishing what we have..
why be burdened by e actions of others?
i think it will be better to show them how things could be and should be..


and with that thought..
i let go of my curiousity and fear..
ready to once again embrace what i have..
=)


but maybe..
someday i'll ask the "so what happened?" question..
but for now.. other things are more important than that..

Went in with only the expectation of a smashed up car at the end..
Came out impressed and itchy handed!!
Was basically a 2 man 1 machine(e car) show.. So the 2 men sang, danced, "played" the car for 80 full mins!! Quite strenuous! Their sweat was dripping all over e car..
There was one part where one of them "played" e car like one would play a piano.. N he has seriously fast hands n fingers!! N he can continue that for very long..
N they have impressive voices~!
N when e audience shouted "encore encore"..
They responded.. Bring ur car backstage n we will do it! :D witty!

GREEK MASTERPIECES FRM THE LOUVRE!
Quite an interesting exhibition. The way marble "drapery" can come to life is remarkable! Really looks cloth-like. Female statues have masculine faces. Most statues were robbed of their noses! Women in ancient greece were minors! how sad.. Theres even one section in the exhibit where u can try to dress like the greeks, drapery and instructions provided. And there were some daring artists who sat by the sculptures, sketching away..

Had a peek into the new Lasalle Sia campus.. like whoa! indoor "grass patch" for students to sit n chat etc.. if only NUS were as such..

Today: Sunday 16 Mar
Kayaking! Lucky it did not rain. Relearnt how to move sideways.. I'm supposed to have learnt it but i have no recollection? Getting old i guess..(oh no!). Sadly now part of kallang river has been cordoned off.. But still can see the bridge. And waved at some cute lil kid on the bridge! :)



ok.. now back to studying!

they say when it comes to knowledge about certain stuff less is more...

Just came back from Kayaking expedition!
Tired.. But it was fun! The kayaking part was okay, but it was the company that was superb!
